Tips to STOP PROCRASTINATION easily.
PROCRASTINATION. The most common word used instead of laziness.
But, do you know that procrastination is different from laziness??
Procrastination is, when we know what we should be doing but we don't want to do it. And then it's easy for all of us to postpone the work or say I will do it tomorrow. But now, the issue is that procrastination will become a habit. Some people have developed the habit and are overthinking (Tips to stop overthinking.) for their problem and some are on the way of developing it.
There are so many tips and tricks to stop doing it.
But those tips work for the people who are on the way of developing the habit.
However, this is for the people who are having or have developed the habit of procrastination and no tip and trick is working for them.
Firstly, you need to know that any habit needs at least 66 days to develop or to change.
So, here are 2 rules to stop procrastination.
1- THE 2 MINUTES RULE.
This rule says that you need to work for only 2 minutes. You can do any work for at least 2 minutes. Because if you make your to-do list and say that you have to do work for 1 or 2 hours directly, then you may get tired and lose the interest in the work you have started.
So, the rule is to start your work for 2 minutes. Lets say, i will do yoga for 2 minutes and over. Now obviously you can't finish doing yoga in 2 minutes. But at least you will get into the position of work. And it will be a turning point for you. Because in procrastination the problem is not willing to start the work.
2- MAKE YOUR MIND CONVINCED.
Here, in procrastination the problem is to convince your brain. So, how can you convince your brain??
Here is the solution.
Lets say "read one page" instead of saying Read before sleep or complete the revision work.
Lets say "tie my shoes for morning" instead of saying Run three miles.
Make your task easy in the beginning. So that your brain will be convinced for the work easily. Because its more easy to convince your brain for smaller task as compare to the bigger one.
(MEDITATION you can give a try to a new habit of meditation.)
Try these 2 ideas and slowly increase the time span from 2 minutes to 15, 30 and so on. Make a schedule for 66 days.
Example doing 2 minutes work for 10 days and then increase the time from 2 minutes when your mind and body will be ready for 15, 30 and 1 hour which you were thinking in the beginning. And after 30 days you'll realize that those work you were finding difficult to start are now easy to do.
